Who Called MA DCF On Me

Oftentimes I’m asked by clients, who called DCF on me and can I find out who that is? And the answer is yes and no. By statute it’s supposed to be confidential who calls DCF.

So the answer up front is no, but the answer on the other end is also yes, because oftentimes we find out who’s reported to DCF through various backdoor mechanisms, especially when it’s anonymous, which is cowards report anonymously.

They don’t want to give their name, their address, their telephone number, where they live city, towns, zip code so forth and so on. So there’s no trackability, there’s no accountability. And they can say anything they want.

Recently had a client that had mice in her home, no heat, no hot water. And the landlord when reported this condition went and called DCF on the family, which was really lousy. But we found out because he was stuffed down at city hall that had been reported to the police and another incident, a system called DCF on a mom who had not seen the mom or the children in a very significant period of time.

And she left a voicemail on the police claiming child abuse, and neglect. The police went out, DCF went out, it was a bogus, false baseless claim. We went and got the tape, which is called a Tarot, T-a-r-o-t, and we listened to the tape and it was like, voila! It was her sister.

In another case a mother had a sister was mad at her and the sister fiercely said, I never did that. I never reported you anonymously. That’s not me. It wasn’t me. I didn’t do it. And then she had all these emails saying that, but yet the police came to the house, along with DCF.

We got these horrific allegations of child abuse, and neglect. And we later went and got the police report and right in the police report there was her sister’s name calling the police. So we gave that to DCF and showed DCF as well as the police.

This was by her sister. We got all these emails saying she didn’t do it. It wasn’t true. And the claims were false, baseless and bogus and DCF closed the case and all three cases had happy endings. But when you say you can’t find out who has reported and they were anonymous and DCF won’t tell you, there are ways to find out who has filed against you.
