My Child Is Back Home Again, I Cannot Thank Attorney Seaver Enough

“I wanted DCF out of my life, away from my family. I just wanted them to be gone in as quickly and quietly as possible and not to have to deal with them again. When I first got the call, I was very anxious and scared and not sure what I should do. I just couldn’t deal with the situation.

My children felt Attorney Seaver was like family. He was protecting them, especially the younger ones who are really scared going through the process. He explained their rights to them and let them know that they weren’t going to be alone and guided them through their part of the process, which DCF does separate children from their parents when they are interviewed. So it’s really important for them to have an advocate with them, but also an advocate that they feel comfortable with, and to have them understand the process is even better. My children were really very reassured to have Attorney Seaver guide them through the process and his staff as well. His staff were wonderful with my children as well. I knew about DCF from growing up, seeing other kids put through the foster care system.

I knew about DCF from TV, from the news. I knew that what I knew of DCF was that they were an overreaching omnipotent agency that often abused its power. And once they got involved with your family, or once they interfered and the foster homes were involved, it was very, very difficult, if not at all, impossible, to be able to resolve the situation and for parents to be reunited with their children with DCF out of their lives.

I feel that no family should face DCF without an attorney. It’s just a matter of choosing the right attorney, being knowledgeable and informed the whole way, doing the research, doing your due diligence, making sure you have a strong advocate who knows the law inside and out, who knows the agency, who knows the people that will be investigating and dealing with you, who knows the area offices, who’s very knowledgeable and familiar that can just hold your hand and guide you through the whole thing. I think it would be foolish to go up against DCF without some sort of representation or advocacy. I feel relieved.

I know that if I ever had a problem, I know where to call. I don’t have to worry. And there’s nothing more important than your family and not having that bond broken. As long as Kevin Seaver is around, if I ever had those problems, I could call Attorney Seaver and have him represent me. I feel really relieved and grateful to have found him and to have been lucky enough to have hired him before I hired another attorney. And also to have had the sense to call him before even making any contact with DCF, to call him right at the voicemail, without answering.
