So when DCF first reached out to us, they gave us a call through a telephone and left me a message. Anytime DCF reaches out, I feel that’s an extremely scary, confusing thing to have to deal with. If my children were put into a foster home with a complete stranger and possibly split up into separate homes, because I do have multiple children. My kids have been with me since they were born, every day of their entire life, I’m a stay at home mom. And with any child being put into foster care, that’s a traumatic thing.
